Marinara Sauce

Looking for a sauce that wins the approval of any dinner party? Call it tomato or pizza sauce, Marinara sauce will put smile on the faces!

As I currently have some time, I had been searching on the internet the other day. On the lookout for new, intriguing ideas, inspirational meals that I have never tested before, to delight my family with. Looking for a long time yet couldn’t discover lots of interesting things. Just before I wanted to give up on it, I ran across this scrumptious and easy treat simply by chance. It seemed so yummy on its photos, that called for instant actions.

It absolutely was simple enough to imagine the way it’s created, its taste and just how much my husband might enjoy it. Mind you, it is quite simple to impress the guy when it comes to treats. Yes, I am a lucky one. Or possibly he is.Anyway, I went to the site: Suncakemom and simply used the step by step instuctions that were coupled with impressive shots of the operation. It just makes life much easier. I can imagine that it’s a bit of a hassle to take snap shots in the middle of cooking in the kitchen as you may typically have sticky hands thus i genuinely appreciate the hard work she put in for making this post and recipe conveniently followed.

With that in mind I’m encouraged presenting my own recipes in the same way. Appreciate your the concept.

I was fine tuning the original formula create it for the taste of my family. I have to tell you it was an incredible success. They enjoyed the flavour, the overall look and loved having a treat like this during a busy workweek. They quite simply demanded even more, a lot more. Hence next time I am not going to commit the same miscalculation. I’m going to multiply the volume to make them pleased.

Dice up onions.

Heat olive oil in a pan then saute the diced onion on high heat until it gets a glassy / translucent look for about 3-5 minutes.

Add the crushed garlic and saute until it gets fragrant for about a minute.

Mix in the pureed tomato.

Add the optional capers and olives.

Stir everything together nicely then place a lid halfway on pan and cook the sauce until its water content is somewhat reduced, for about 20 – 3o minutes.

10 minutes before finishing, stir in basil and oregano. With aromatic herbs -especially fresh ones- it is recommended to wait until the end so the dish can keep their scent.
